For those businesses counting on tourist trade it’s important to try and tie into events promoted by others. Within the next couple of months we will have the “Cowgirl Up” event at the Museum, The D.C. and Las Damas Rides, and several more performances at the Webb Center. Creative businesses will figure a way to attract these visitors into their stores, galleries, shops, and restaurants. Think about the type of people coming to the events and what their interests may be. Then offer them an incentive to do business. Most importantly let’s all welcome the visitors will our traditional Western Hospitality.
Hey from the Webb Center! We are all about "spreading the love" with our fellow businesses. Businesses that support the Webb Center by purchasing ads in our seasonal Playbills are talked about on the phone each and every time ticket-purchasers ask, "So what else is there to do in town?" or "What restaurants are near the theater?" We also hire Tina Custer and the Cowboy Cafe to cater a majority of our artist meals prior to shows (usually feeding more people than you can imagine!) and have the Pony Espresso in-house to provide coffee/snacks during intermission. You may also notice our artists themselves staying at local hotels and eating at our establishments. Also, the Wickenburg Drama Club (granted that they are not actually a business) will sometimes sell pies before/intermission/after shows. A huge aspect of our business is to promote Wickenburg to our out of town patrons, and we are happy to do it.
